I’m always on the hunt for healthy snacks because even though snacking can be one of the worst things to do when you’re trying to eat healthy, if you’re going to do it, you might as well be smart about it!
I’m going to share with you one of my favorite healthy snacks to make: apple chips. Apple chips are probably the easiest snack to make yourself and the best part is, all you really need is apples! These are perfect if you crave the crunchy texture of potato chips but don’t want the guilt that goes with them.
Once you bake these delicious, crunchy fruit chips, your stomach will be thanking you (and so will the rest of your body!).
4 apples (You can use whatever kind you want. I prefer fuji or gala!)
Half a lemon
Cinnamon/cinnamon sugar (optional)
Preheat oven to 200°F.
Use either a Mandolin slicer to slice apples or cut them by hand. Either way, make sure you cut them thin.
Squeeze lemon over apple slices.
Cover a baking sheet in parchment paper.
Place apple slices on baking sheet.
Optional: sprinkle cinnamon or cinnamon sugar on apples before baking.
Bake for one hour. Remove from oven and flip the apple slices. Bake for another hour.
After you devour these delectable apple chips, be sure to keep any leftovers refrigerated. Happy healthy snacking!
