As I’ve mentioned before, I live in a tiny box of a studio apartment. Don’t get me wrong, I love my little space and have made it completely mine. However, I’ve grown up to appreciate the outdoors and while I still spend the majority of my free time outside my apartment felt rather dull and lifeless without a yard or a patio. I’ve developed quite the aspiring green thumb within the past couple months and it has effected my little space in the best way.
I’ve found it very rewarding to watch something grow and to put a lot of thought into keeping something alive and thriving. I know that growing plants isn’t a thing for everybody so here are a few plants that are super easy to maintain and that will bring a lot of green and life into your space!
Cactus are super easy if you have a nice area near a window that gets a lot of light. You don’t have to water them that often and they thrive with minimal care. (image via Rebecca Centren)
Succulents are another plant that require minimal care and come in so many different varieties. You may have to water them once or twice every couple weeks and they need a good deal of light. (image via CraftGawker)
Air plants are the most challenging out of these three plants but they’re a lot of fun if you don’t have a lot of table or shelf space for pots or planters. You can hang or place Air Plants in just about anything and the fact that they don’t require soil makes them pretty easy to plant and keep track of. You’ll need to mist your Air Plant fairly often and soak it for an hour once every week or so. (image via Poppytalk)
